Roy will be talking about his collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney called Twin Freaks, in which he remixed his Wings and solo back-catalogue. What started initially as a 5 minute DJ mini-mix demo evolved into a double vinyl remix album utilising dozens of his hits from 1970 onwards and a 2 year European/US tour. Roy will explain how the collaboration came about and how he subsequently developed it into something much greater than the original brief. Covering what he learned from the experience Roy will explain how he still incorporates those lessons into the work he does today. Antto Melasniemi, Celebrity Chef & Restaurateur @Imeinsalem Antto Melasniemi is a man on a mission. His mission is to create and produce new and innovative dining experiences. His passion, centered around food, drink, restaurants and hospitality sees him running three restaurants in Helsinki whilst regularly collaborating with artists and designers on various projects around the world. Antto will discuss his exploration and production of the restaurant concept through temporary, fast prototyping projects, concentrating on the production of the ‘Solar Kitchen’ restaurant, an experimental restaurant concept, a beer marketing campaign and an art insillation. Thuy Duong Nguyen, Founder & Designer THU THU @THUTHUfashion Thuy Doug Nguyen studied fashion at ESMOD in Berlin with the same dream as thousands of other fashion students - to become a successful designer. 3 years ago Thuy bought a ticket to Vietnam, she had 5 weeks to develop 2 collections to launch her own label. She arrived with no designs, no fabrics, nor any places to get it manufactured. This is her creative journey, a story of sheer determination, passion and drive to create and produce THU THU, a label that has now been featured in top fashion press and continues to gain accolade in an extremely competitive industry. Mick Ebeling, Founder, Not Impossible Labs, CEO, The Ebeling Group, Co-Founder, The Not Impossible Foundation @mickteg Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible Labs, believes in technology for the sake of humanity. Inspired by an article he’d read, Ebeling latest endeavor, Project Daniel, which he will be discussing, took him to Sudan to 3D-print and fit prosthetic limbs for children of the war-torn region. He then left the equipment behind with locals he’d trained who continued after he left, thus establishing the world’s first 3D printing prosthetic lab and training facility. Activated by his motto, “If not now, when? If not me, who?” Mick and Not Impossible are disrupting the status quo of healthcare via compelling stories in which the one person helped inspires many to action.
