Waterstones, the last remaining national chain of booksellers, is focusing on the experience of shopping in a bookshop in its new advertising campaign, appearing in time for the crucial Christmas retail period. The campaign, created by Leagas Delaney, reminds people that nothing can compete with the experience of shopping in a real bookshop. The posters remind shoppers: ‘Words cannot do justice to the pleasures of a good bookshop. Ironically’; ‘A good book will keep you fascinated for days.
