Meet Gordon Reid.
Meet Gordon Reid aka Middleboop. As well designing and illustrating Gordon runs the Middle Boop blog and fanzine. The fanzine brings together Gordon’s love of design with his passion for music and is well worth checking out (http://www.middleboop.com/index.php?/middle-boop-store-new/). We managed to get him for a quick chat and to ask him about his work.

How would you class your style?
With a lot of my work I merge retro, found imagery with modern, digital techniques, lots of colour and subtle use of text so I guess my style is a post modern spin on the medium of collage.

What would be your dream project?
Well the dream has always been to get to a point where I can exhibit my work in galleries around the world, something friends of mine have done and something I would most certainly love to aspire to.

What was the most useful bit of advice you were ever given? Where next for you?
Thankfully over the last year I’ve been given some great advice by some very influential people but one that sticks in the mind is
“you should really get your work online.” Since I took the advice and got a website sorted I’ve not looked back.
I have a few really decent projects on the horizon for magazines such as Digital Artist and have just signed off a couple of big pieces for some well known clients to which I’m probably not allowed to announce just yet. I am also in the process of turning the Middle Boop blog into Middle Boop Mag which will be really exciting once online.
